Minister Obuljen Koržinek presents the Oris Award 2023 to the Spanish architect Carme Pinós
Days of Oris is an international architecture festival organized by Oris House of Architecture in Croatia and has been held since 2001. Each year, it brings together over 2000 visitors, including architects and professionals from related fields. To date, more than 350 speakers, leading experts from around the world, have participated in the festival.
This year’s Oris Award winner, Carme Pinós, is a formidable architectural figure, deserving to be ranked alongside luminaries such as Zaha Hadid, Lina Bo Bardi, Alison Smithson, Yvonne Farrell and Shelley McNamara, Anne Lacaton, Anna Heringer, Charlotte Perriand, and Carme Pigem.
The minister congratulated the awardees for their contribution to the world of architecture, noting that the powerful messages emerging from their creativity both intrigue and compel us to delve into and concentrate on our own work, as well as our aspirations and responsibilities for a better tomorrow. He also extended congratulations to Oris House of Architecture on its 25th anniversary, as well as for the successful celebration of the Days of Oris festival, which they have been organizing since 2001.
