Archery-Training
Barcelona, Spain
The project is determined by the client’s demand of placing it against the slope across from the playing fields it has to serve.
Both buildings emerge from the desire to configure a landscape. Beyond being buildings, we want them to be understood as an intervention on the territory.
In this case, our intervention consists in inserting large concrete slabs in the terrain; we find the space beneath them, but not coincident with them. The view from the upper level doesn’t have to explain the space generated at the lower level, which is delimited by curved walls resembling curtains. A series of bricks laid vertically help to convey this sensation of lightness.
The slabs must have the leading role.
