Estudio Carme Pinós
The studio, founded and led by Carme Pinós, has been dedicated to executing prominent national and international commissions for over 20 years. The portfolio includes construction projects in various countries such as Mexico, Austria, and France, encompassing diverse contexts, settings, programs, and scales. The studio’s working capacity spans a broad typological range, from urban planning, parks, bridges, waterfronts, office towers, cultural and sports centers, universities, and schools, to residential developments and furniture design.
The response to the program, context, budget, and timeline is necessarily unique but always, as a common denominator, in each proposal, we share the same vision of the world and architecture. Here, common sense and responsibility must always take precedence. All our projects are developed around a strong and simple conceptual framework, conceived and continuously revised by Carme Pinós, and embraced by all parties involved. The coherence of each commission also lies in the importance we attribute to every phase of the project, from the initial sketch to the smallest detail, with particular care given to the construction process.
Over the years, the studio has successfully built a network of collaborating architects and specialized local engineering firms with whom we regularly work and share a common sensibility. This approach to commissions is manifested in an identifiable formal language in which we navigate freely: structural and conceptual clarity, honesty of materials, simplicity and strength, and a pursuit of poetics.
