Carme Pinós: “Right now it is impossible to be an architect”.
According to the edition:
“Carme Pinós welcomes us into her majestic apartment on Diagonal, where she tirelessly designs with a team of about 10 architects, some of whom have been working with her for more than 25 years. In the entrance hall, a billiard table is covered with models of her works. She notes that the billiard table was a gift given to Enric before a trip to the United States, and she keeps many other things from when they shared the studio. Amicably, she confesses that she is swamped with interviews and not allowed to work. We stroll around the rest of the office; she gives a couple of directives to her team and takes us to a library. Books fill the space—art, architecture, history, and very old copies of philosophy. Several pieces of furniture designed by her are also recognizable”.
