Carme Pinós: “The right to housing must be fundamental, just like healthcare“.
According to the edition:
Closely linked to Mallorca, Barcelona architect Carme Pinós participated last Tuesday in the Mallorca Real Estate Summit as one of the featured guests. There, she shared her extensive knowledge accumulated over decades working in the field of architecture, encompassing projects ranging from major luxury hotel renovations in Mallorca, such as Son Brull de Pollença, experimental pavilions in Melbourne, to public housing in Mexico or Vallecas (Madrid).
After years during which she had to navigate her path independently following her departure from the office of her former partner, Enric Miralles, Carme Pinós has become an exemplar in architecture that seamlessly integrates with the landscape, embodies respect for the environment, and possesses a visionary outlook on the future of architecture. Carme Pinós is currently experiencing a remarkable period: she has been awarded the National Architecture Prize, which she received last year at La Lonja de Palma, the Gold Medal of the Superior Council of Spanish Architecture Colleges, and the Arnold W. Brunner Memorial Award.
